Naming a business

A MEMORABLE NAME gets any business an advantage over its competitors, but a name which also brings a smile will last even longer in one's memory.

Examples of many names we wish we had thought of abound, eg:

Hairdressing industry:

• "Curl up and Dye"
• "Hair Today"

Flower industry:

• "Gums and Roses"
• "Floral and Hardy"
• "The Floral High Ground"

One of our clients coined an appropriate name for selling ink cartridges in "INKredible Inks" and has become very successful.

When we started way back it was more the fashion to have short and convenient website names, hence "platywebs" for "Platypus Websites" - but today long names are OK.

In fact, if you can include a key word for search engines in your name it helps your ranking.
